Black Fraternal Society's

Before reading i didnt really know much about this topic. After reading this article i learned that a new museum opend in Little Rock, Arkansas, last month. Also, I found out that it preserves a little known piece of black Arkansan history. Something I never new about that I learned was that one of the largest Fraternal Societies for blacks started in the 1880's and that few people new it existed.

1. Why has the government taken over some U.S. firms?
The goverment has taken over U.S firms because we are in an economic crisis

2. What firms has the government taken over?
Some firms that the goverment has taken over is AIG, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac

3. What is a bailout?
The bailout is when the goverment is trying to prevent corporate failure.

4.Why does David Walker have doubts about the bailout?
He has doubts about the plan because the goverment does not have the "core competency"

5. What did Daniel Mitchell say about the bailout?
Daniel Mitchell did not aprove the bailout. he also says the they are doing the wrong thing in the best way possible.

Texting

Before reading this article on texting I new that many people text while doing other things. I know that people would text when there driving and walking. After reading the article I found out some of the accidents people have been in when they were texting. i found out that a 15-year-old girl fell off her horse when she was texting. Also about the girl who was texting her boyfriend while she was cooking and bunt her leg and arm. This article made me think about what could happen when you text and do other things. I still text and do other things but now i try to be more careful.

Election 2008-the issues

Before reading this article i know that the economy is bad. I also know that besides the economy that there are other issues. Some of the other issues are World affairs, The energy crisis, and The candidates opinions. I want to learn more abou the other issues besides the economy. After reading the article i learned more about the issues and more about the elections. I still want to know more about the candidates opinions about these issues.
